Haydale graphene industries’ recently revealed that the production of graphene-enhanced face masks is underway, according to Graphene Info.
The design specifics will be revealed then, with little known now, and will then undergo assessment for different properties, such as UV and EMC protection, and Virus Filtration Efficiency (VFE).
“We are pleased to see the washable functionalized graphene-enhanced fabric masks enter production,” commented Haydale chief executive Keith Broadbent in a PR. “With the growth we have seen in the personal protective equipment market, we foresee a great potential in this area.”
IRPC has reportedly placed a follow-up order for 200 kilograms of Haydale’s bespoke ink, with more orders to follow. The current production is meant to provide facemasks for within the IRPC group, with external orders coming in 2021.
