Paragraf, a prominent graphene electronics sensors and device company, announced its plans in July on creating a supply chain for graphene hall-effect sensors commonly used within high-temp power electronics, Drives, and electric machines. These hall-effect sensors are important for monitoring and magnetic fields, which increases machine speed and maintains drive power consumption.

According to Graphene Info, this project, named High-T Hall, intends to bring together Rolls-Royce, TT Electronics, and the Compound Semiconductor Applications Catapult (CSA Catapult), to demonstrate and publicize the strength and reliability of graphene-based hall-effect sensors in low temperatures and frequencies below 100khz.

Now set to be running until roughly July 2021, this implementation of graphene-based hall-effect sensors could improve efficiency and performance in many applications, ranging from aerospace technologies to electro-vehicles.
