GAC Group, a Chinese automobile maker, has recently announced that they have begun production on the Avion V, a new electric vehicle that comes with a super-fast charging graphene battery.
This graphene-based battery has shortened charging time, as well as extended battery life, which allows there to be less downtime when commuting and solves many of the problems plaguing current electric vehicles on the market. With the estimated ability to charge to 80% capacity in 8 minutes, and actual vehicle testing currently underway, there are sure to be new developments concerning these batteries. The usage of graphene in next-gen batteries is only beginning, and it is sure to be a key feature in more vehicles going forward.
