AMD (Advanced Material Development) has confirmed it’s signing of a letter of intent with Marks and Spencer for collaboration in the development of new and sustainable RFID solutions for the packaging and apparel industries, according to Graphene Info.
CEO of AMD John Lee is optimistic about the possibilities this congregation could unearth. He said: “For many retailers, it is clear that the need for a sustainable RFID solution is becoming ever more urgent as they strive to address the increasing demand from customers and shareholders for improved sustainability and environmental credentials. M&S has been a standard-bearer in both driving sustainability throughout its supply chain and the early adoption of RFID technology. The partnership will allow AMD’s technology to rapidly move to the next stage of development towards scalability and commercial deployment.”
