Directa Plus, one of the largest producers of graphene-based products, has recently signed an agreement with Nextech Batteries, a lithium-sulfur based battery manufacturer, in order to work together in the developement and production of lithium-sulfur batteries.
The agreements allow for increased research and development regarding the battery type, with Directa Plus supplying nanoplatelets to Nextech, which are graphene-based materials viable within the batteries in production.
This agreement has the potential to be a major catalyst towards their collective goals, to apply Li-S batteries in the real world, creating better, cheaper, and more environmentally safe batteries overall.
