Talga Resources Ltd, a multi-national graphene supply and the applications-based company has announced the results of their real-world testing of graphene-based coatings. Named Talcoat, the anti-corrosion coating made from graphene had great success after its application to the hull of a ship, named Robin 1. It was noticed that compared to the industry-standard coating, Talcoat showed no corrosion marks.
This news has caused Talga to develop more variations of marine coatings, packaging coatings, and anti-bacterial coatings, all of which are to use graphene as a key component.
