First Graphene recently announced the results of its wear liner testing for its PureGRAPH-enhanced bucket wear liner. Wear liners, meant to be a disposable shield for the protection of steel equipment in ore handling operations, are generally made with rubber. However, this live test revealed that the addition of PureGRAPH 20, First Graphene’s graphene-based material, caused the lifespan of the wear liners to grow by six times as long as the competition.
Known as the PureGRAPH-enhanced ArmourGRAPH liner, this incredible increase in lifespan is a strong sign for graphene-based applications for mining and mineral processing operators. There is forecasted to be an increase in demand for graphene-based mining products in the near future, caused by this test.
