Researchers from the University of Manchester’s National Graphene Institute have recently developed optical devices which have tuning capabilities such that they can cover the entire electromagnetic spectrum.
The technology, created by interposing lithium ions between sheets of multilayer graphene, has the potential to be a large breakthrough in many fields of science.
The lead author of the study, Professor Coskun Kocabas says it “may enable potential advances in many scientific and engineering fields.”
