Researchers from the University of Surrey have designed a new method that enables common laboratory scanning electron microscopes to be able to see graphene growing over a microchip surface in real-time, according to Graphene Info.

The technology utilizes video imaging, which uses “Fermi-level contrast to visualize doping levels of graphene.” The ability to control and visualize graphene in real-time has many positive possible effects on the production of graphene as a whole and will allow for increased innovation in the growing space of graphene research.
